HE WILL REJOICE OVER YOU

“As a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so your God will rejoice over you.” (Isaiah‬ ‭62‬:‭5‬). What a thought! We can make God rejoice. The fact of the matter is, most believers do not understand how important they are to God. We are important to Him because of who He is. Because He is full of love and compassion and forgiveness.

Too many live lives of defeat and struggle when they should be living lives of victory. Jesus has bought for us the victory that only God can provide. Victory over sin, victory over Satan, and victory over self. Yet, we sometimes forget why He did that. He did it because He loves us. He did it because we are important to Him.

You matter to God. That should make your whole life different, realizing how God feels about you. God rejoices over His people. We are in a relationship with God of love and dependence. We depend upon Him, and He never lets us down. That is the glory of the gospel. The glory of Jesus Christ, and what He has done for us.

Don’t take this salvation lightly. Don’t take it lightly as far as the way you live, and don’t take it lightly as far as the way that you think of yourself in the eyes of God. He rejoices over anyone who turns to Him for forgiveness. He is always delighted to receive a sinner who trusts in Christ and changes their ways. Look to Jesus, and be saved. And realize that when you do, you have made the God of the universe very happy.
