GOD IS MORE THAN WILLING TO FORGIVE
The death of Christ was the manifestation of the love of God. Consider the fact that there was a time in eternity past when God decided that Jesus would die for sinners. We contributed nothing to that plan. We were not there when it was designed. We must remember this if we are ever going to enjoy any security in our salvation. Jesus’ death was according to the eternal purpose of God (Eph. 3:11). We had nothing to do with it.
So many believers have a hard time with the concept of God’s forgiveness. It is because all of us think that our sins, our past, are/is worse than anyone else’s. We have no problem believing that God will save others, but will He really save me. That is the problem with the thinking of many believers, but it is a mental problem, not a realistic concept of God.
Forgiveness was God’s plan. He is the one who designed it and He is the one who accomplished it. You do not have to talk God into forgiving you. All you have to do is want it. Turn to God and ask Him to forgive you. If you are just beginning in your walk of faith, remember that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. And then walk tall in the grace that God has shown you. Always strive to do what He says. Believe that He has forgiven you. Believe that He gives you everything that you need to serve Him. And believe that He wants you to be in heaven worse than you have ever wanted to be there. He is the one who accomplished your salvation through Christ so that you can go. Praise His wonderful name!
