COME TO CHRIST

Your soul is the most valuable possession you have. For the soul to be lost is totally unnecessary when the grace of God is sufficient to save even the worst of sinners. All that had to be done to set us right with God was done by Christ. He saves all who come to Him because He lived a perfect life and died as a sacrifice for our sins. The saved are the ones who escape the wrath of God through the death of Christ. And anyone who wants to be a part of the saved may be. God’s love does not exclude anyone who wants to be saved. All you have to do is come to Christ. Repent of your sins and embrace the Lord Jesus Christ. He will save you. You cannot do it yourself—you can only accept what God has already done. His work is enough.

The Christ who came to save sinners is the same Christ who tenderly pleads with us now. “Come to me” (Matthew 11:28) is the invitation of God. All you have to do is come. To come, all you have to do is realize you need Him. It is an open invitation. God does not desire the destruction of anyone, but desires all men to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). The consideration for all of us and everyone we know is that Jesus wants us to be saved. There is no reason to be lost. Come to Christ. Seek His will. Call on His name. LOVE HIM. He will save you. He promised to save all who come to Him. He will not lie. He cannot lie.

Everyone who comes to Christ is assured of an eternal home in heaven. We can go to heaven and know that we are going. We can give ourselves to God and live for Him. Everything can change for us. We do not have to wonder what our lives are about or what we are supposed to be doing. We have the assurances of God’s promises concerning our eternal destiny. Jesus is tenderly calling.

Near the end of his life, Paul could say that he had fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:7). That is something that we all can do. We can keep the faith. We can please God. It all happens through Christ.

Talk about being ready to die. Talk about being ready to face God in the judgment. Paul was. He knew God and he knew that God knew him. He lived his life for God. You and I can do that too. We can give ourselves completely to God and live with him for eternity.
