COME TO CHRIST TRUSTING IN HIM

“And the Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ And let the one who hears say, ‘Come!’ And let those who are thirsty, come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely” (Revelation 22:27). “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace by the redemption that is in Christ Jesus” (Romans 3:23-24). Salvation is a gift, which means that it is free (Romans 6:23).

We must come to Christ expecting to receive salvation because God desires to give it to us. If it were a matter of being good enough to be saved, then we could never receive it. If it depended upon how well we perform, upon our works, then we could never be sure that we have salvation in our possession. There would never be any way to know if we had “done enough.” But when we come to Christ, we may know that we are saved because the reason for our salvation is found in the heart of the one who gives it to us. The reason we receive salvation is because God loves us, has mercy on us, is a God of grace, and wants to give us the gift.

Let your heart trust in Christ. Give Him the trust He deserves. His love will save you and keep you saved. Hear the invitation of Christ: “Come.” All are invited. Answer that invitation by trusting in and obeying the Son of God.
